Celebrations are an important part of the year at Montessori House Brussels! It’s always a pleasure to celebrate the children’s birthdays. A personalised banner decorates the fire place and there is a special ritual (‘walk around the sun’) to celebrate the child’s birthday, before the class enjoys the birthday cake. Parents must provide a plain cake (low on sugar and without additives) or cupcakes on the day.
The children have the following celebrations to look forward to at Montessori House Brussels:
- Halloween: children dress up in costumes
- Christmas: parents are invited to see their child’s performance
- Carnival: time to dress up again
- Easter: egg hunting in the garden
- Mother’s Day: breakfast with mums
- Father’s Day: breakfast with dads
- End of the Year Celebration: children’s performances and lunch with the parents
