Montessori House Brussels is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring and dedicated part-time English speaking Montessori guide for one of its classes.

As part of the pedagogical Montessori project and in partnership with the parents, we guide the children to adapt to their rhythm and needs, in a structured and secure environment. Working in close collaboration with your co-worker you create a calm and inviting atmosphere to promote the development and well-being of the children.

MAIN TASKS

  • You will guide children, 3 to 6 years of age, through their developmental stages
  • You support the daily reception of the children and their parents
  • You maintain the developmental areas and you prepare pedagogical activities
  • You interact with the children through positive reinforcement
  • You observe the children, evaluate their development and prepare activities in accordance
  • You distribute information to the parents regularly and respectfully
  • You participate in the organisation of the school.

REQUIRED DIPLOMA

You are in possession of a diploma Montessori Education Early Childhood 3-6 Children’s House and other related qualifications with good knowledge of the presentations of the Montessori materials.

PROFILE

You have experience (minimum of two years) as the main teacher in a (Montessori) pre-school
You are stress resistant, flexible and can prioritise
You work with integrity, inner calm and professionalism and you can control your emotions
You see pleasure in keeping the classroom and its environment organised and clean.

LANGUAGE: English, preferably native speaker, understanding of French

CONTRACT

The contract consists of 23 hours per week, starting on 23rd August 2022. We offer a competitive salary, which will depend on qualifications and relevant experience, increased by meal vouchers, intervention in transport costs, holiday payment and end-of-year bonus. We are committed to staff support and continued professional development.
