about the school celebrations

It’s always a pleasure to celebrate the children’s birthdays. A personalised banner decorates the fire place and a special ritual (‘Walk around the Sun’) is performed to commemorate the child’s birthday, before the class enjoys the birthday cake. You are asked to provide a plain cake (low on sugar and without additives) or cupcakes on the day.

The children celebrate the following events:

The Anniversary of the School (October 4th): a cake is shared between both classes
Halloween: children will dress up in costumes
‘Sinterklaas’ (December 6th): will they find a little present in their shoes?
Christmas: parents are invited to see their child’s performance 
Carnival: time to dress up again
Easter: egg hunting in the garden
Mother’s Day: breakfast with mums
Father’s Day: breakfast with dads
End of the Year Celebration: children’s performances and lunch with the parents
